PROVINCIALS BOUND!

Update from Hockey Alberta (posted March 11, 2025):

After finishing first in round robin play with a record of 4-0-0, the Oilers went on to defeat the SEAC Tigers in their semi-final matchup by a score of 8-3, sending them to a South Division final matchup against the Wheatland Warriors. The Warriors struck first, but goals from Clark Galos and Bennett Nixon in the second period got the job done, giving the Oilers a 2-1 victory, where they would then go up against the Central Division champions, the Central Alberta Selects. The Selects took game one by a score of 5-4, but the Oilers were persistent in the next two games, tying the series by a score of 3-2, following it up with a series-clinching 7-6 win to earn the South Conference title. U15AA won the South Division Final!

(posted March 3, 2025)

The U15AA Oilers went undefeated in Strathmore, securing six straight victories to claim the South Division title. With their impressive performance, the team now heads north for a crucial three-game series against the Lacombe Central Alberta Selects. The winner of this matchup will advance to the provincials, set to be held in Calgary on March 20-23rd!  Go Oilers Go!

U16AA won  the South Division Final! Unfortunately, fell short at the South Conference Championship against Red Deer.

The U17AAA team has just completed their regular season games,  and have clinched a playoff spot. The U17AAA Playoffs against the Calgary Royals begins with a home game at the VRC on March 13!

Playoff Game Schedule for March 13-16:

The AEHL South Conference is pleased to announce its hosts for the 2025 Playoff Tournaments, the qualification process for the 2025 Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships. All teams in the AEHL AA South Conference will qualify for playoffs. Only Alberta teams are eligible to qualify for provincials.

U13 AA Playoff Tournaments - March 6-9, 2025:

• South Division Host: Medicine Hat
• Central Division Host: Cochrane
• Winner of each Division Tournament will meet in a best-of-three series to determine a conference champion/provincial representative. The Conference Championship series must conclude by March 16, 2025.
• Provincials: March 27-30, 2025

U15 AA Playoff Tournaments - February 27 - March 2, 2025:

• South Division Host: Wheatland
• Central Division Host: Olds
• Winner of each Division Tournament will meet in a best-of-three series to determine a conference champion/provincial representative. The Conference Championship series must conclude by March 9, 2025.
• Provincials: March 20-23, 2025

U16 AA Playoff Tournament: February 27 - March 2, 2025:

• South Conference Host: Sylvan Lake
• Winners of the semi final games in the Conference Tournament will meet in a best of three series to determine a conference champion/provincial representative. The Conference Championship series must conclude by March 9, 2025.
• Provincials: March 20-23, 2025

• South Division Host: Foothills
• Central Division Host: Lacombe
